Exterminator for Residential & Commercial Properties
Brampton Pest Control, Close to Home
Brampton used to be called the Flower Town of Canada, back when Dale's Nursery had 140 greenhouses here. Now it's one of the country's big distribution hubs, with the CN intermodal terminal, huge warehouses and a lot of manufacturing. Our Brampton team works in those buildings and in the restaurants and homes from Bramalea to Springdale. Phone 647-849-4441 for a free estimate, or call any time, day or night, if it's an emergency.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Professional Pest Control Services
How often should a distribution centre have pest control?
It depends on how fast stock moves. A high-turnover building with trucks at the doors all day should have service every two weeks, or at least monthly. Slower storage can usually go every other month. The more doors and the more product coming in, the more chances mice and insects have to get inside, so the visit schedule should match the traffic, not just the square footage.
Can pallets and shipments bring pests into a building?
All the time. German cockroaches travel in cardboard and electronics, mice nest in pallets stored outside, and beetles and weevils come in with dry goods. Returned merchandise is a common source because nobody knows where it's been. Have your receiving staff look over incoming loads, store empty pallets away from the building and report anything they see. We'll set up monitors near the receiving doors so problems show up early.
How do grocery stores keep mice out?
Grocery stores are tough because there's food everywhere and the back doors open all day. The basics are tight door seals, bait stations around the outside, traps along the walls in the back room and under shelving, and quick clean-up of spills and damaged product. Bakery, deli and produce areas need extra attention. We usually recommend weekly or bi-weekly visits for grocery stores, depending on size, with a report you can show a Peel Public Health inspector.
How much does rat removal cost for a house?
For most homes, rat control costs $299 to $399. That includes an inspection to find burrows and entry points, tamper-resistant bait stations outside, traps inside if they're in the house, and advice on what's drawing them in, like bird feeders, compost or garbage. If a follow-up treatment is needed, the second service is at no extra charge.
Why are there cockroaches in my basement?
If they're big, dark and slow, they're probably oriental cockroaches, which like cool, damp places and often come up through floor drains, sump pits and cracks in the foundation. Smaller, light brown ones that show up in the kitchen are German cockroaches, and those are a bigger problem because they breed fast. Either way, fixing moisture, sealing drains and cracks, and a proper treatment will clear them out. Cockroach treatment is priced after a free inspection.
How do grocery stores get rid of fruit flies in the produce section?
Fruit flies breed in overripe and damaged produce, in the drains under misted produce cases, and in the bins where culled fruit sits. Pull damaged produce every day, keep cull bins emptied and away from the sales floor, and have the drains under the cases scrubbed regularly. Bananas, tomatoes and stone fruit are the usual trouble spots in summer. We track the source on each visit as part of our grocery store service.
What beetles get into pet food and dry goods in storage?
The usual ones are warehouse beetles, flour beetles, sawtoothed grain beetles and drugstore beetles. They feed on pet food, bird seed, flour, cereal and other dry goods, and they can chew into thin packaging. They often arrive in a shipment and then spread to the pallets around it. Pheromone traps show us where they're active, infested pallets get pulled and isolated, and stock should be rotated so nothing sits for months. Our warehouse pest control page explains how we set up the monitoring.
How do rats get into restaurants?
A rat can squeeze through a gap about the size of a quarter, so the usual entry points are gaps under back doors, holes around pipes and gas lines, damaged vents and broken floor drains in older buildings. Garbage, grease bins and food left out overnight keep them coming back. Door sweeps, steel mesh in the gaps and tight lids on garbage do most of the work. We handle the rest with bait stations outside and traps inside. It's part of our restaurant service.
Can mice chew through electrical wires?
Yes, and they do it a lot. A mouse's front teeth never stop growing, so it chews constantly, and wires inside walls, attics and appliances are a common target. Chewed wiring can cause power problems and is a real fire risk. If you hear mice in the walls or find chewed wires, call an electrician to check the damage and call us to deal with the mice. Mouse control for a home costs $250 to $350.
When is wasp season in Ontario?
Queens come out of hiding in April and May and start small nests. The colonies grow all summer and are at their biggest in August and September, which is when wasps are most annoying and most likely to sting. After the first hard frost in the fall, the workers die off and the nest is abandoned. The best time to deal with a nest is early in the summer, while it's still small.

Why us
Pest Control for Brampton Warehouses, Restaurants and Homes
With the intermodal terminal, distribution centres for some of Canada's biggest retailers and plenty of manufacturing, Brampton runs on moving goods. That work brings pests along with it. Mice ride in on pallets, cockroaches hide in cardboard, and rats find the gaps around loading docks and compactors. Our Brampton team sets up warehouse pest control and facility programs for big buildings, and looks after restaurants and grocery stores that answer to Peel Public Health.
Every commercial client gets a site map, a visit schedule that fits their shifts and a written report after every visit. We can do weekly, bi-weekly or monthly service. A commercial call between visits normally gets a response in 24 to 48 hours, and we'll come out any time for an emergency. If you'd rather not have a branded truck in the lot, ask for an unmarked vehicle.
Many of Brampton's warehouses run around the clock, with trucks coming and going all day, so the dock doors are open more than they're closed. That's the biggest single way mice get into a distribution building. Fast-closing doors, dock seals in good repair and a clear strip of ground along the building, with no pallets or junk stacked against the wall, do more than any bait station can on its own. We'll point out exactly where your building needs work.
For homes, Brampton's biggest problems are mice and rats, but we treat everything on our list: house ants, carpenter ants and pharaoh ants, wasps and hornets, carpenter bees, cockroaches, bed bugs, flies and fruit flies, spiders, centipedes, silverfish, weevils and beetles. Mouse control for a house runs $250 to $350, rats $299 to $399, ants $199 to $299 and wasp nests $150 to $250.
