Exterminator for Residential & Commercial Properties
Cambridge's Pest Control Team
Cambridge is really three old mill towns, Galt, Preston and Hespeler, joined together in 1973 where the Grand and Speed rivers meet. Galt was once called the Manchester of Canada. That industrial streak never left, and today the city has auto plants, food makers and warehouses along the 401. Our Cambridge team looks after those businesses and the homes around them. A free estimate is one call away at 647-849-4441, and we take emergency calls at any hour.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Professional Pest Control Services
How much does pest control cost for a manufacturing plant?
Manufacturing plans range from $200 to $700 a month. A small machine shop sits at the low end. A large plant with several buildings, a cafeteria and raw materials coming in by the truckload sits higher. The price covers scheduled visits, a device map, written reports and treatment of any problems we find. We walk the plant first, at no charge, so the quote reflects your building.
Can you treat a plant for pests without shutting down production?
Almost always. Most of our work in plants is monitoring and trapping, which doesn't interrupt anything. When a treatment is needed, we time it around shift changes, weekends or planned maintenance shutdowns, and we use products and methods that are safe around your equipment and staff. Your safety team gets the product information ahead of time.
Why do old mill and stone buildings get more mice?
Old stone foundations have gaps between the stones, and a century of pipes, wires and vents going through the walls leaves a lot of holes. A mouse only needs a gap about as wide as a pencil. Plenty of the old mills in Galt and Hespeler are offices, shops and condos now, and the mice didn't get the memo. Sealing those entry points is slow work, but it's the only thing that lasts.
How much does wasp nest removal cost?
For a home, wasp or hornet nest removal is usually $150 to $250. Nests that are hard to reach, like inside a wall or high up on a roof line, are at the higher end. We treat the nest, make sure the colony is dead and tell you when it's safe to remove it or seal the hole.
Are spiders in Ontario dangerous?
Almost never. Nearly all the spiders you'll find in an Ontario house are harmless, and they actually eat other bugs. The northern black widow does live in Ontario, but it's rare and usually found outside under rocks and woodpiles. The brown recluse isn't established here. If you're seeing a lot of spiders, it usually means there are a lot of insects for them to eat, and that's the problem to fix.
Can silverfish damage stored paper and records?
Yes. Silverfish feed on paper, cardboard, book bindings, glue and the starch in some fabrics, so archives, file rooms and boxes of records in a damp basement are an easy meal. The damage looks like small irregular holes and scraped surfaces. Keep the humidity below 50 percent, store records in plastic bins instead of cardboard, and keep boxes off the floor and away from outside walls. We can treat the room and monitor it as part of our office service.
Do you remove wasp nests from commercial buildings?
Yes. On commercial buildings, nests turn up under rooftop equipment, inside signs, in soffits, on light poles in the parking lot and in hollow railings. A lot of them are high up, so our technicians come with the right ladders and equipment and work when the fewest people are around. We treat the nest, make sure the colony is dead and remove it where we can. Rooftop and high work is included in our service for commercial buildings.
Can mice damage machinery and wiring in a plant?
They can, and it's expensive when they do. Mice nest inside warm control panels, motor housings and equipment cabinets, and they chew wire insulation, which can cause shorts, downtime and fire risk. Droppings in panels are a sign they've been inside. Keep cabinet doors closed and sealed, block cable openings with proper fittings, and keep traps in the areas around the equipment. We check those spots on every visit in our manufacturing programs.
How do I get rid of spiders in my house?
Start by taking away what they like. Vacuum up webs and egg sacs, especially in corners, basements and window frames, and clear out clutter and cardboard where they hide. Seal gaps around windows, doors and where pipes come in, and switch outdoor lights to yellow or warm LED bulbs so fewer insects gather at night. If that's not enough, a treatment around the outside of the house and the basement keeps them down for the season.
Can bed bugs come back after treatment?
They can, for a few reasons. Some eggs or hidden bugs may survive the first treatment, which is why most jobs need a follow-up visit. They can also come back in on luggage, used furniture or from a neighbouring unit. Put bed bug encasements on the mattress and box spring, keep clutter down, and check for signs for a few weeks after treatment. If a follow-up treatment is needed, the second service is at no extra charge.

Why us
Commercial and Home Pest Control in Cambridge
Cambridge has always made things. The mills in Galt and Hespeler ran on the river, and today the city's biggest employers are plants and warehouses along the 401. Those buildings have lunchrooms, locker rooms, shipping docks and raw materials, and every one of those can bring in pests. Our Cambridge team works in manufacturing plants, factories and older commercial buildings, many of them converted mills.
A plant can't stop for pest control, so we fit in around you. Visits happen around shift changes, reports are written up after every visit, and every trap and station is on a numbered map. If something comes up between visits, most commercial calls get a response within 24 to 48 hours, and emergency calls are answered 24/7.
Cambridge plants often run several shifts, with hundreds of people passing through the lunchroom every day. That kind of traffic makes housekeeping hard, and it's where most pest problems in a plant start: crumbs under vending machines, food left in lockers and garbage that sits overnight. We report those things clearly so your facilities team can fix them, because removing the reason pests show up is cheaper than treating them every month.
We also look after Cambridge homes, from old brick houses near the rivers to the newer subdivisions. Common calls are mice, rats, carpenter ants, wasps, hornets and spiders, plus cockroaches, bed bugs, house and pharaoh ants, carpenter bees, centipedes, silverfish, flies, fruit flies, weevils and beetles.
We've been in business since 2017, and our technicians are licensed, insured and covered by WSIB. If you'd like, we'll come in an unmarked vehicle. Call 647-849-4441 and ask for a free walk-through of your plant or your home.
